Frankie Rose – A Life in Music
Frankie Rose is a self-taught musician with a deep love for storytelling through sound. Though largely self-educated, he briefly studied at the Berklee College of Music and the Séminaire de Jazz de Liège, refining his craft before embarking on a career that has spanned over four decades.
Since his debut in 1980, Frankie has released 16 albums across a wide spectrum of genres, collaborating with numerous bands and projects along the way. His musical journey has taken him from fusion to jazz, blues, and contemporary folk, each record adding another layer to his rich, eclectic sound.

A Legacy of Collaboration & Teaching
Over the years, Frankie has worked with a variety of international artists, including Machitun de Chile (Chile), Xoro Rojo (Brazil), Moncada (Cuba), Perry Rose (Ireland/Belgium), and Gylle Waddy (USA).
Beyond performing, he is a passionate educator. He has taught guitar at Les Lundis d’Hortense, Jazz au Vert, AKDT, and EF2M (France) and has also shared his knowledge as a music teacher at the Singelijn Primary School and the European School of Brussels.

Frankie Rose est un musicien autodidacte, porté par l’amour du son et des histoires qu’il raconte à travers sa musique. Bien que principalement autodidacte, il a affiné son jeu en étudiant brièvement au Berklee College of Music et au Séminaire de Jazz de Liège, avant de se lancer dans une carrière qui s’étend sur plus de quatre décennies.
Depuis ses débuts en 1980, il a enregistré 16 albums, explorant des styles variés allant de la fusion au jazz, en passant par le blues et le folk contemporain.
